About the event

     Emerging trends revealed that critical time wasted on waiting for back up to arrive on scene during active shooter incidents is costing innocent lives. Studies have also shown that lone individuals responding to these types of incidents have significantly increased the amount of lives saved.

     Solo Response to Active Threats [SRAT] - 1 is designed to equip officers, armed security professionals and responsibly armed citizens with the tools needed to increase their effectiveness and survivability When navigating combative environments alone. This 8 hour block of instruction lays the ground work for our series of “Responding to Active Threats“ courses. There will be no Force on Force for this level 1 course. Students will utilize laser SIRT pistols, bolts or something similar during the scenarios.

Topics covered:

     -Mindset

     -Statistics and The Why

     -Theories and principles of CQB

     -Civilian/Off Duty considerations

     -Active Killer Vs Hostage Taker

     -1st – 3rd line gear recommendations

     -Positive Identification (PID)

     -Deconfliction methods

     -Vehicle staging and rapid deployment considerations

     -Open air movements

     -Clear/advance to contact techniques

     -Post incident considerations

Course Cost: $250.00

This course is restricted to First Responders, Military Personnel, Armed Security Guards (Current with proof of employment) and vetted citizens.  Once your information has been verified you will be sent an invoice.

Class size: 

     -14 Students max

          *If a student is unable to attend the course due to an illness or any other valid reason, a credit will be given for another course of the same value

Weapon requirements: 

     -Serviceable Rifle or Pistol equipped with a weapon mounted light

Equipment requirements: 

     -Duty equipment based off your job

Students are highly encouraged to bring food and water with them to the course.  They are expected to eat and hydrate throughout the day on their own.  A lunch break will not be given to ensure we maximize training time.
