Emerging trends revealed that critical time wasted on waiting for back up to arrive on scene during active shooter incidents is costing innocent lives. Studies have also shown that lone individuals responding to these types of incidents have significantly increased the amount of lives saved.
Solo Response to Active Threats [SRAT] - 1 is designed to equip officers, armed security professionals and responsibly armed citizens with the tools needed to increase their effectiveness and survivability When navigating combative environments alone. This 8 hour block of instruction lays the ground work for our series of “Responding to Active Threats“ courses. There will be no Force on Force for this level 1 course. Students will utilize laser SIRT pistols, bolts or something similar during the scenarios.
