FREE -LE Only Dual Response to Active Threats (1)

Dual Response to Active Threats [DRAT] is a two-day (18+ hr) course that teaches students how to effectively respond, with a partner, to incidents with active killing in progress.  Students will be taught how to rapidly deploy from their vehicles in order to stop the killing and dying by effectively engaging the threat and provide life saving medical interventions via triage, TECC, and extrication.  DRAT is designed for those who work in a two-person capacity or has a "beat" partner they usually handle calls with.  Utilizing the "Crawl, Walk, Run" training methodology, students will start with a white board presentation and finish with Force on Force.  Non-Lethal Training Ammunition (NLTA) and blanks will be utilized during the training.
