About the event
Dual Response to Active Threats [DRAT] - Level 1 is a two-day (20+ hour) course that teaches students how to effectively respond with a partner to incidents with active killing in progress. Students will be taught how to rapidly deploy from their vehicles in order to stop the killing and stop the dying. Â DRAT is designed for those who work in a two-person capacity or has a "beat" partner they usually handle calls with. The training can also be applied to armed security specialist that are assigned to provide security for specific locations and armed citizens who often travel with likeminded individuals. Â Utilizing the "Crawl, Walk, Run" training methodology, students will start with a white board presentation and finish with Force on Force. Â Non-Lethal Training Ammunition (NLTA) and blanks will be utilized during the training.
Drop in AR15 conversion kits and Glock sim guns with 60 rounds of NLTA munitions (30 rnds 556 and 30 rnds of 9mm, or whatever combination you choose) are include in the full cost of tuition.
This is a SEMI-RESTRICTED course and is only open to First Responders, Military Professionals, Security Guards (with proof of employment) and vetted US Citizens.

-Serviceable carbine with weapon mounted light sling and/or handgun with weapon mounted light and holster

-Plate carriers/vest
-Helmet
-Dryfire training devices such as SIRT bolts/pistols
-Note taking material
-Extra batteries for optics and lights
